TECH cocktail is more than just a cocktail party
Started in Chicago in the summer of 2006 by Frank Gruber and Eric Olson, TECH cocktail is a media that hosts events to better connect, educate and amplify the start-up technology community. We started by just launching a simple WordPress blog and using the comments as a way to RSVP for our mixer events. The format for our mixer events is simple, as we do a callout to all the local startups in the community. We then select our favorite 6 to 12 startups and offer them a free demo spot at our event. We also cover all the showcased startups on our website and try to help them get additional mainstream media cover. Not to mention we also try to help startups by offering them advice, connections and more.
Since our first event TECH cocktail has morphed over the years into company devoted to building and strengthening emerging local technology companies both online and off. Working with TECH cocktail has helped TECH cocktail has hosted large events in Chicago, DC, Boston, Boulder, San Diego, Barcelona, Austin and more. We have had hundreds of startups demo at our events and thousands of attendees come together for an event of tech focused fun. You can view photos from past events here.
