Online learning is definitely a trend which will continue to rise as we continue to be connected to the Web – particularly corporate environments. Bloomfire, a Kalamazoo, Michigan based startup, offers a collaborative social learning platform where everyone becomes a teacher. Bloomfire enables organizations to create secure internal learning communities where employees teach each other. Bloomfire features easy-as-pie authoring tools that allow even the most technically-challenged employees to share their knowledge.
Bloomfire was founded by Josh Little and David Cook as a reaction to the obstacles organizations face in training their employees based on their experiences in the trenches of corporate training at Fortune 500 companies. They have also started two other learning related startups.
