Brisk Dives Into App Development With Star Wars Game App

BriskSaber App

Who thought ice tea could be so technologically advanced? PepsiCo, the makers of Brisk Ice Tea, are banking on a couple things that any tech enthusiast, geek or entrepreneur can relate to: Star Wars and mobile gaming. In a key promotion for the company, they have partnered with Lucasfilm, getting behind the February release of Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace 3D. In preparation for the exciting 3D debut, Brisk launched new product packaging and released a mobile game app called BriskSaber a lightsaber simulator app featuring Yoda and Darth Maul, characters from the Star Wars film originally released in 1999.

Developed by San Francisco-based Mekanism working with Flying Wisdom Studios, the free iPhone and Android apps allow you to choose a side (the light side or the dark side, of course), the single saber or double lightsaber and battle a number of iconic characters including Darth Vader among others. There are some surprises along the way as the game ties-in directly with Brisk, offering game codes under the caps of the ice tea bottles that unlock special content, new characters, lightsabers and other objects. So if you have a caffeine fix and are a fan of mobile games and Star Wars, it might make sense to turn to Brisk to quench your thirst.

Besides the app marketplaces, you can find it at UncaptheApp.com or go to Facebook.com/Brisk. Once you have the app you can play anytime, but of course if you drink Brisk and get the game codes you’ll gain access to new content in the app.

Check out the BriskSaber app video (below).

Aside from the app, you may also see some new Brisk commercials surface which also include the wisdom of Yoda – like this one below.

Additionally, fans can tune in for special TV commercials that start airing January 15th to unlock even more content.

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Brisk. While they sponsored, we still really like the app and are big supporters of ice-tea in general. Oh, and someone on the team may have slept with Star Wars sheets on their bed at one time. Not naming names. ;)
