Taking The Guesswork Out Of Campus Housing with DormSplash

Take the guesswork out of campus housing with DormSplash, a website that launched yesterday with over 7,000 reviews of college dorms written by students.
With DormSplash, students can read and write dorm reviews for colleges all across the country and find out what other students think about campus housing. Reviews are based on a 0-5 star scale and broken into lifestyle and room categories. Under lifestyle, you can rate location/convenience, quiet study environment, parties/social scene, resident attractiveness, and RAs/House Staff. Under room, you can rate room size, cleanliness, parking, bathrooms, and kitchens. You can also add a comment about the dorm, and some of them are quite lengthy and descriptive.

DormSplash comes to you courtesy of CampusSplash, a startup we showcased at our last DC Tech Cocktail mixer on February 2. Co-founder Allen Gannett had this to say about the launch:
“DormSplash launched over 7000 reviews of college dorms written by students. Why should choosing where you live be guesswork?”
They offer articles and news on campus life and college admissions, and you can even predict your chances of getting into college with their AdmissionSplash application that runs on Facebook.
