Dashmob Offers Real-Time, Location Based Deals

Looking for a deal around you right now? DashMob looks to provide real-time, location-based deals for local businesses. The company is joining the ranks of many deal sites, but rather than buying a deal to be used a few weeks from now you receive an instant deal that is based on your current location and only available for use within a short window of time.

Currently focused on just the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago, Dashmob offers deals for local businesses. For example, if there is a local deal around you, Dashmob will send you an deal alert. Additionally, Dashmob offers a free iPhone app that also displays the same features for on the go usage.

The business was founded by Millie Tadewaldt and Ben Levi, a couple residing in Chicago who met while pursuing their J.D.’s from Harvard Law School. Millie is a VP for Sandbox Industries, the Chicago-based venture capital firm and incubator (Dashmob is a Sandbox Industries backed startup). Millie serves as President, and for the time being, is also the lead programmer. Dashmob showcased its latest innovations this past week at the Tech Cocktail Chicago fall mixer event.
