I love using Facebook, Twitter, and other social sites to discover what products and services my friends are using and talking about. That’s the idea behind Svpply, a growing community of people discovering the products they love.
Svpply helps you keep track of the things you want to buy, or you can browse a personal feed of products from across the web, discovered and filtered by the people and stores you find interesting. If you find someone whose taste you admire, you can follow them for future tips and finds.
This community of tastemakers is currently pulling products from 7,000 of their favorite stores, so you can have a unique shopping experience while discovering products you didn’t already know about.
Svpply is the latest creation of 27-year-old New York based entrepreneur Zach Klein who’s companies include Vimeo, Busted Tees, Svpply, and CollegeHumor. He also helped build Boxee.
Svpply is becoming a community of curators to help you discover the coolest products. And, if you’re the one with a flair for the fabulous, you can guide the rest of us with your impressive tastes. Pretentious? Perhaps. Fun and addictive? Yes, and yes.
