If you are a vegetarian foodie (yes, Anthony Bourdain, there is such a thing), take the surprise out of dining by visiting DiscoverVeggie before you eat out. 

DiscoverVeggie allows vegetarians to browse a searchable directory of restaurant profiles that displays venue details, reviews, and menus with meat dishes stripped away, providing consumers an easy way to find vegetarian cuisine from all types of local restaurants.

Once you visit a restaurant, you can “fave” it, write a review, post photos or videos, or add a “flip flop” dish recommendation.  The platform currently hosts a growing directory of 7,000 restaurants and menus across 23 cities.

Founders Sanjay Patel, Nirav Shah, and Samir Patel are vegetarians who got tired of going to the same restaurants over and over again that they knew had vegetarian meals on their menus.   This site was created to fill the void and encourage all vegetarians to go outside of their own ‘restaurant comfort zone.’
