DraftCraft Makes Blogging Easy on the iPad

September 15, 2011

DraftCraft

Bloggers and iPad lovers, get ready for a new app that may take your blogging to the next level. DraftCraft, which will be released later this month, allows bloggers to write and post to any platform without complex coding.

So, whether you’re a die-hard WordPress fan or you swear by Blogger, you’ll be able to use DraftCraft to wax poetic; to share your daily life with family, friends and strangers; or even to spread the word about your product or service.

DraftCraft was developed by the Ministry of Application, a Russian mobile app developer, and it works with WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal, Chinese sina.com.com and blog.163.com. It looks like Tumblrs will have to tumble elsewhere, but plenty of bloggers will be able to take advantage of DraftCraft.

These advantages include being able to compose and post your articles without HTML or the particular properties of a blogging platform. DraftCraft has its own simple-text editor and boasts a carefully designed user interface to keep the writing process as straightforward as possible. Simple doesn’t mean plain, though – you can still exercise complete creative control with advanced text editing, formatting and image insertion.

If you’re a blogging superstar, with multiple blogs to update regularly, you’ll be able to post to all your blogs from one place for streamlined productivity. DraftCraft’s Star System further enables productivity by allowing you to manage progress on a variety of posts, so you can compose the best ideas quickly without worrying about writing style (one-star pieces) before gradually editing your way to publish-worthy perfection (five star pieces).  I’m not sure how useful this feature would be to me because the control freak in me tends to edit as I write. But for all you “normal” writers out there, the Star System sounds promising.

DraftCraft will be available in the Apple App Store soon, so keep an eye out for it, and once you try it, why not blog about your experience and link it to us in the comments section?
