Expanding from Philadelphia for its first summer in New York, DreamIt Ventures, the tech accelerator program that ranked ninth in our U.S. accelerator report, has graduated another class of startups.  At its New York demo festivities today, DreamIt Ventures launched 14 new companies. Of those 14 companies, 5 of them were selected in partnership with Startl, the non-profit social enterprise dedicated to accelerating digital innovations for learning, from kindergarten to college, both in and out of the classroom. Last year, we covered the summer program, which took place in Philadelphia.

The 14 startups that launched at DreamIt Ventures New York were as follows:

1DocWay offers a video chat platform for doctors and clinics to connect with patients.

AfterSteps enables users to create a complete end-of-life plan, store it, and then transfer it to designated family members upon death, ensuring that they have this critical information when they need it most. It’s like TurboTax for death preparation but you don’t have to submit it by April 15th.

AppAddictive is a marketing platform that helps businesses acquire customers through social media and, more specifically, apps.

AppBrick is a Boston-based startup that empowers authors and publishers to easily create, launch and manage powerful apps via an intuitive, web-based interface with no programming required.

Clothes Horse offers a platform that enables consumers to shop for clothing across retailers with a single user profile. It has been referred to as “Facebook Connect” for fashion.

Cognection has commercialized three decades of research in consumer psychology and behavioral economics to generate a new type of product recommendation that makes the online retail experience less frustrating for consumers and more profitable for retailers.

Hoot.me is an Austin-based startup that offers a Facebook application for students to leverage while studying. We previously covered the Facebook study buddy here.

KeepIdeas helps consumers organize and collaborate on decisions in the cloud.  They are tackling a number of different verticals, starting with recipes, which is why it has been referred to as a social “Evernote for verticals.” KeepRecipes participated in our April New York mixer event, so we previously covered them in more detail.

LearnBop is a Pittsburgh based startup that offers an online adaptive learning platform. It enables experts to create educational content with hints and feedback messages that respond to student behaviors.

Let’s Gift It offers a platform for social gifting. It’s a way for friends, family, and coworkers to contribute towards the purchase of a gift together.

Pandaly offers voting and gaming solutions for demand-driven deals that can be shared with friends.

Pictour.us comes all the way from Honduras to offer a mobile app for producing and sharing photo tours for travel.

Re-Vinyl is a Los Angeles-based startup that offers a mobile application that assists music artists with fan engagement and revenue opportunities for the band and brands.

Take The Interview is a Boston based startup that offers a cloud-based video interviewing platform for employers to more efficiently screen candidates.

Which one of these young startups will be the next SCVNGR, SeatGeek or MindSnacks to come out of DreamIt Ventures?
