Evernote has launched their first ever Evernote Developer Competition, with $100,000 in prizes and a chance to make Evernote better than ever.  The top apps will be showcased at the Evernote Trunk Conference in San Francisco on August 18.

Over the past few years, Evernote has grown into an impressive community of 9 million plus users, developers and partners, all of whom share the same goal of building the world’s first global memory platform. Their users include students, lawyers, writers, designers, executives, and everyone in between. They use Evernote to plan trips, save recipes, recall their favorite shops in a destination city and much more.

Developers can compete by creating and submitting a new application, service or device integration with Evernote. A description of rules, judging and prizes can be found here. Winners will be announced at the conference, a full day event centering around moving Evernote and its community forward.

For more information about the competition or the conference, see their blog post.
