Exciting Changes On The Way For Tech Cocktail

Tech Cocktail has evolved quite a bit since it first began as a community event in Chicago in 2006. It’s now a full blown media company with a variety of components including our classic tech mixer events in communities across the country, the Startup Mixology Conference series, special video content, newsletters, daily news stories covering interesting new products and services, fresh voices, interesting leaders, hot news and trends, how-to’s and more.

Over the next days and weeks you’ll be seeing some changes at Tech Cocktail. The first is a new design – we hope you find it as refreshing and inviting as we do. As our company has evolved, we’ve broadened our coverage from startups to gadgets and beyond, added rich interviews and speaker series videos and it’s time that we’re able to better reflect that.

We’re also broadening our email preferences and options. We’ll now have daily and weekly options for receiving our content via email, as well as national newsletters and city by city options.

One of our core values is our focus on people – and as the number of Tech Cocktail contributors grows, we need a way to highlight them. You’ll see more focus on our writers and contributors so you can learn more about these amazing people. If you are interested in contributing to Tech Cocktail please let us know by filling out this simple form. We’ve also been building the Tech Cocktail team which includes the addition of some key individuals which include our COO Jen Consalvo, Client Development lead Mary Ellen Delaney and our Event Coordinator Julia Labandz you can find out more about here. Our extended team includes our partners which keep us going with public relations and communcations, email marketing, accounting, design and development, and legal matters.

And there will be more… while we love writing, we are product developers at heart and are in a unique position to identify some interesting problems that need to be solved, and when we can, we aim to do exactly that. More to come on that front.

So, as we get our new design launched and roll out our new email programs, please bear with us as there may be a few bumps, hiccups or fail whales in the transition process. We thank you for being with us on this journey, contributing your feedback and comments, coming to our events and being part of the community. We’re thankful for this opportunity and hope you like the changes to come!
