Follow Conferences and Events Through Twitter Photo Streaming With Picturely

Want to see the world through others’ eyes? San Francisco-based startup Picturely is a photo streaming utility that searches through Twitter for the latest mobile image uploads. It has been used to unofficially cover the recent Mumbai bombings, Vancouver riots, Madrid protests, and San Francisco Giants wins (and losses).
Picturely’s first commercial product is the Picturely Dashboard, which can be used to run on-screen social media at conferences (think Tweetwall), major sporting events, and other large-scale events. The Dashboard primarily crowdsources images, but it includes tweets, sponsor slides, and broadcasts (from the event organizer) as well.
If you want to see it in action, the Picturely Dashboard is running all of the on-screen social media for TechWeek during their conference in Chicago July 22-29; it will also be embedded on their website.
They’ll also be demoing at Tech Cocktail Chicago/Our 5th Anniversary Birthday Bash tomorrow night, so definitely stop by and take a look at this very cool photo streaming technology.
