FoodCircles: eBay for Dining Out

Calling all foodies who love to eat out!  You will want to check out brand new startup FoodCircles, which demo’d at Funded by Night in Detroit last week.  Once the service officially launches, they will allow you to create a deal for your meal in minutes.  Groups of friends can “blast” their eating intentions out to the town and let restaurants that need to fill tables bid on feeding them.

So yes, FoodCircles is almost a reverse eBay, but it’s also a win-win for restaurants and diners.   Restaurants fill tables and diners get a great meal at a great price without worrying about logistics.

Unlike social deal sites, FoodCircles deals are generated instantly when a group of people has shown their intention to eat out, making it easy for restaurants to fill space on-demand and at prices that offer short-term gain.  In addition, FoodCircles does not require advance payment, reservations (they make them), or lengthy decision-making, as offers are available within seconds.

If this sounds like a cool service you’d like to use, head on over to their website and sign up to receive news about their launch.
