A Conversation With GrubHub CEO Matt Maloney

When you are hungry in the city and it’s time to order in, many people turn to the depths of their kitchen drawer. You know, the one dedicated to all the takeout menus that have been collecting for years. Sifting through the pile to determine which place to dine can be a daunting task. Chicago based startup GrubHub.com has been trying to help make dining from home easier by bringing the restaurant menus that are cluttered in your kitchen drawer online so that you can order your food with clarity and ease.

An early Tech Cocktail Chicago featured startup back in 2006, GrubHub has been growing like crazy every since. They have taken on funding, expanded to numerous cities and are growing so fast that they were recently recognized by Inc Magazine on their prestigious Inc 500 list of fastest growing companies, coming in at number 229.I recently had a chance to catch up with GrubHub CEO Matt Maloney as they came to DC and fed our Tech Cocktail guests. Check out the video interview below produced by the talented videographer, Mark Fitzpatrick.
