Poker Anyone? Win a Ticket to SmartBet

OK, so we have this ticket to SmartBet to give away and we’re going to make you work for it. For those that don’t know SmartBet is the TECH cocktail of the charity world. It is an event where entrepreneurs (and others) get together and enjoy each others company (while trying to beat them at poker) all the while raising money for some great causes.

Let’s see, what can we do to make winning this ticket a little challenging. OK, how about this:

In the comments section of this post I would like people to guess how many people Frank and I thought it would take to make a smash hit first event (i.e. how many people we aimed to bring together) back when we planned TECH cocktail 1 in May 2006 (bonus points for the person that can also guess how many people showed up to our first event).

The person who gets the closest answer as of Friday (the 29th) at 5pm wins the ticket.

Buy in for this event is $250 so this is a valuable prize. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s responses and to picking a winner.

I’d say you aimed for 75 and got about 225. Which made it a super-duper smash hit.

I’d agree that you were expecting 75, but I would round that 225 up to 230.

Frank and I initially thought getting 50 people in a room would be awesome and we ended up with a little more than 225 at the first event.
