TECH cocktail DC 3 will showcase six DC area startups which will be demoing at the event. The six startups are:
BrandClik.com is an in-text ad network that provides content providers with a non-intrusive method for generating positive cash-flow without diluting their content. At the same time it provides brand or trademark owners the opportunity to receive non-competitive, highly targeted traffic to their web site for words which they already have intellectual property ownership over.
contribune.org was founded to discover, aggregate and model connections between the articles that motivate people and the causes they support. It was founded in June of 2007 and is self funded. The idea came to the founders when reading that a New York Times opinion piece on John McCain generated his campaigns single greatest daily donation haul up to that point in the election cycle. Struck by a simple story’s power to incite millions, they began wondering what other media items were moving people to act and donate and Contribune was born.
