iRoc Puts Your iPhone In Your Car Dashboard

Austin-based Jackson Electronics is now taking pre-orders for its iRoc, a complete in-vehicle integration solution for the iPhone.  iRoc replaces your vehicle’s existing radio, making your iPhone the source and control of your entertainment, navigation and communication systems.

While seeking a way to integrate a Smartphone into his son’s new truck, iRoc’s founder developed a higher quality and lower cost alternative to the expensive audio head units with unattractive cabling and clumsy adapter kits that were being sold at the time.

iRoc is free of loose cables, windshield suction cup mounts, and awkward plug-in and clip-on devices.

The device features video output, steering wheel controls, line-level outputs and audio amplification to the vehicle speaker system.  It capitalizes on the Smartphone features and applications, rather than audio quality degrading Bluetooth and FM transmitter modules.

With iRoc, you can use your favorite apps for music, movies, GPS navigation and hands-free communication.  It’s a streamlined, integrated system for your car, courtesy of your iPhone!
