Time to resurrect your New Year’s resolutions! Startup GreenGoose, which was just named Best Overall/Launch Pad at the Launch Conference in San Francisco, released their very cool lifestyle tracking device this week.

Want to drink more water or start exercising every day?  Want your kids to brush their teeth more often and/or start walking the dog like they said they would?  GreenGoose can help.  Their real-world game platform makes sticking to chores and healthy new habits fun and easy.

Here’s how it works:

Wireless sensors transmit data to the egg-shaped transmitter that is plugged into a spare Ethernet port on your router.  You can track your (or your kids’) progress and earn points (bonus points for consistency!) that you can trade for products from partners, with other users, or transfer into allowance for your kids.

The sensors are designed to measure different activities: there’s a brush sensor for your toothbrush, sticker sensors for your dog’s leash, water bottle, and vitamin bottle, among other things, and a credit card-sized exercise sensor that you carry in your pocket, backpack, or wallet.

Judges at Launch were so impressed, two of them provided funding right on the spot.  If you’re interested in checking it out, pre-orders for the $24 starter kit begin February 28.
