Spice Up That Image and Make It Interactive With Luminate

Choosing the right image for your website, blog or advertisement is never an easy decision. Images can potentially make or break the objective of your site, so choose wisely.  With that in mind, it’s time to start looking past just the image itself and begin seeing how much more it can be. Luminate is a new service that allows users to turn a standalone image into an interactive application that consumers can navigate in and out from.

There’s no doubt that Luminate turns a boring image into a colorful, fun, and easy to use application.  Users are able to choose from a variety of interactive image applications and select the tags they would like to appear on the image. Once the interactive image has been set up, consumers who visit the site are able to engage in various online activities, such as shopping, sharing, commenting, and navigating directly from the image, turning your image into a navigation mechanism.

Luminate works best on sites where images are the primary pieces of content. Publishers looking to leverage the images on their websites as a canvas for delivering commerce, information, social and advertising applications might want to test Luminate out as a new option.

Luminate’s platform currently offers a variety of applications such as:

• Unique Twitter Share, Facebook Share, and Email Share apps that give consumers the power to select precisely what they want inside an image and share it with others.

• An information app called Annotation that allows publishers to quickly and easily tag any spot within an image and add relevancy to that image.

• A commerce app called Products, which enables consumers to mouse over the image and interact with tags on the picture.

• An Advertising app that offers publishers a seamless way to place relevant advertisements within an image.

Check out the Luminate website and learn more about how it can help your site reach its potential. Leave us a comment below and let us know how you like it.
