Good news: if you are a local business or organization that hosts frequent events, managing them just got easier.
Boston-based startup Guestlyst (currently in beta) is an easy-to-use event management portal with some great features not found over at EventBrite or Meetup. With Guestlyst, event hosts can easily customize and publish multiple events and provide a single destination mobile portal for all future events.
Users get a lot of flexibility with their platform. You can accept RSVPs, embed a widget to the events section on your website and Facebook page (here’s an example), maintain an integrated customer database right on the Guestlyst website, manage guest loyalty programs and communicate with guests via SMS.
Founded by Will Ko, an entrepreneurial ex-consultant of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Accenture, his goal is to revolutionize the way locals find and interact with events around their city.
I wanted to empower event coordinators with information systems that are really easy to use. I think of Guestlyst as an ongoing project that will continue to improve as we discover more about the needs of the event industry.
You can meet Will and learn more about Guestlyst at Tech Cocktail Boston tomorrow night.
