I agree with everything you said and in addition to that ,I would add one key point that most companies tend to neglect.  If you&#039;re going to hire outside help for anything, it&#039;s key that you know (really know) what you want and have an efficient way to manage projects.  No matter who you hire, if you haven&#039;t sat down and really detailed exactly what you want, you and the solution provider you selected are both going to pay for it.  A good solution provider will call you on this up front so that you can work on it and both parties aren&#039;t wasiting their time.  Yes, there&#039;s the possibility that the customer will just move on to a &quot;yes man&quot; company, but in that case, I don&#039;t think anyone&#039;s coming out a winner. </description>
