NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim November 14 through November 20, 2010, as National Entrepreneurship Week. I call upon all Americans to commemorate this week with appropriate programs and activities, and to celebrate November 19, 2010, as National Entrepreneurs’ Day.

In case you missed it, that was the proclamation from President Barack Obama for National Entrepreneurship Week and Day this year. To celebrate, we were in New York on November 19th hosting a Tech Cocktail mixer and celebrating the day with close to five hundred entrepreneurs and innovators and showcasing 15 early-stage startups. In doing so, we missed an opportunity to participate in the White House festivities which took place in Washington, D.C. and included an afternoon town hall meeting with U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra and AOL co-founder Steve Case. DC-area startup HelloWallet hosted the event and Kauffman shared the video for all to see.
