A few days ago I posted I Don’t Have an iPhone, Here’s How I Survive and mentioned the Google Nexus. Just a few minutes ago Google unwrapped the Google phone Nexus One and opened it up for ordering.
The Nexus One Phone costs $529.00 if you would like to buy the phone without service and insert your own SIM card. ( may favorite option) and includes a Nexus One phone case, wall charger, and USB cable. Free shipping in the continental US..
If you are a T-Mobile customer you can get it for $179 with a 2 year plan (go to the site and read the other terms and conditions) and existing customers may be able to upgrade. I guess as a existing T-Mobile customer I should check my options.
The Google Nexus One is coming soon to Verizon and to Vodaphone in Europe. Terms of sale here
My strategy will be to wait and watch as people review the phone to death, Google upgrades it frequently and wait for my phone to drop dead or pass it off to my kids and then get one. But as with all geeks you can never be sure when temptation overtakes reason.
