Chicago-based startup OkCopay is the first open medical comparison engine that removes the mystery of pricing for patients, while improving reimbursement rates for doctors. Regardless of insurance status, you can “shop” for local medical procedures on the basis of cash price, convenience, and physician credentials.
Founder and CEO Toure McCluskey has more than 10 years of experience in strategic pricing within the health care industry. He knows that that tens of millions of Americans go without recommended care each year due to the ridiculously high cost of care. Many procedures that, at first glance, seem unaffordable can often be found nearby for dramatically lower costs.
OkCopay’s site has price comparison engines for dental, vision, imaging, lab tests, vaccines, clinics, cosmetic, and fertility procedures. Unlike most doctor directories, OkCopay provides access to pricing details and resources to help you sort and compare doctors.
