Looking for a small camera that takes great photographs at a reasonable price point? You might want to check out the Olympus PEN E-PM1, which is due out next month. It is the smallest, lightest, and the most portable Olympus PEN camera and will be available for $499.99. The “mini Pen” offers very high image quality, lightning-fast speed, and 1080i high-definition (HD) video recording. The Olympus PEN E-PM1 offers the portability of a point-and-shoot camera with the performance of a DSLR. Here are some of the features:
-> 12.3 megapixel sensor is the same size as those used in pro quality DSLRs.
-> Up to 29 minutes of full 1080i HD video with Dolby Digital stereo sound using the direct HD Movie Button.
-> 6 in-camera Art Filters (Pop Art, Soft Focus, Grainy Film, Pin Hole, Diorama and Dramatic Tone) think Instagram but in a pro quality camera.
-> Maximum sensitivity of 12,800 ISO for low light photography.
-> Fast! Take up to five photos per second.
Though I’ve been a loyal Canon camera user, I cannot wait to get my hands on the Olympus PEN E-PM1. It sounds like just what I have been looking for with portability, speed and DLSR-like performance for a great price.
