Reper To Offer A Place For Your Online Reputation

Good, bad or ugly we all have an online reputation. Online reputations have become easier to sculpt with the prevalence of social media, which can be a double edged sword as negative information can also easily be associated with your rep. Reper, a Cambridge-based startup that has yet to officially launch, is looking to offer an open resource for reputation information about people. This might sound familiar as a site called Unvarnished launched this past Spring and caused quite a stir for enabling anyone to write both a positive or negative review about anyone else.

Reper is founded by an All-Star cast of Boston entrepreneurs including John Fanning, the founding Chairman and CEO of Napster, Glenn Gaudet, the former CMO of Pulvermedia and Henry Harding, an entrepreneur and researcher at Harvard University’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society.

Reper will be on hand as a showcased startup at the TECH cocktail Boston startup mixer this Thursday at the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge. With all the buzz about online reputation we are excited to see what the Reper team has come up with.
