Save $10 on Your Medical Bill This Month with Simplee

Simplee, a platform for tracking and paying health care bills, has hit on one of the best forms of advertising: free money.
During February, the Palo Alto startup will give you a $10 discount on a medical bill paid through its system. Just use the code “promo-10” when checking out – current and new users are both eligible.
Why give away money? Other than the obvious reason of attracting new users, community developer Aaron Gin says that medical bills cost “way too much.” Simplee aims to (aptly) simplify the charges and create more engaged health care consumers. With the help of Simplee’s dashboard, patients have saved up to $1,400 catching erroneous fees.
Since we last covered Simplee, the startup has been overwhelmed by the user response. “We never knew the need for Simplee was so strong among the average American family, even those without a large number of bills,” says Ginn.
In addition to the $10 discounts, Simplee is launching charitable initiatives every week until SXSW to benefit foundations fighting cancer, diabetes, and other diseases. Simplee is a finalist in the 2012 Accelerator at SXSW, where they are also sponsoring a free medical team.
