Six Mobile Startups Showcased in DC

Our first Washington, D.C. MOBILE TECH cocktail mixer event is scheduled for tonight, on Cinco de Mayo and we just wanted to share a quick preview. In case you are new to our MOBILE TECH cocktail event series, we hosted our first event in January in Chicago, then went on to host another in Barcelona at the World Mobile Congress. With all the mobile application developers, startups and entrepreneurs in the D.C. metro area we are excited at the opportunity to showcase some of them to the DC community. The event looks to better connect, educate and amplify the local mobile technology community and will have six local mobile focused startups on hand demping in an expo-style to the rest of the DC entrepreneurial community for free.  The following will be showcased startups at the event:

QR Arts – QR code development gone artistic
Ringio – cloud-based rich calling service
The Eats Network – multiple restaurant listing focused iPhone application
Tweetion – Twitter iPhone application
viaPlace – location based registry services
WhereMark Connect – social location-based services

Windows Phone 7 Series

The event is presented by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Series and we are thankful for Microsoft’s sponsorship and support of the D.C. mobile technology and entrepreneurial community.
