Social Network For Kids Everloop Secures $3.1 Million in Funding

June 21, 2011

Everloop

Everloop, a protected online social network for children, recently landed $3.1 million in seed funding from vFormation, Band of Angels, Envoi Ventures, and individual investors including Richard Chino, Wayne Goodrich and Deena Burnett-Bailey of Angels of Hope.

In a nutshell, Everloop is like Facebook designed for kids under the age of 13. Created by three moms to give other parents peace of mind, the site offers a private social network where parents are able to constantly monitor the day-to-day activities of their children.

Everloop provides kids a free, safe space where they can connect with friends, play games, share pictures  and music, and send messages. The network’s online privacy protection technology blocks children from bullying, sharing personal information and using foul language in their interactions.

The startup is also bringing in ex-Disney exec Sandy Berger as Chief Marketing Officer, AOL’s Tobin Trevarthen as EVP of Business Development and Alan Goodman as Creative Advisor.
