Sick of daily deal sites yet? We stumbled across a new one that is actually pretty interesting. So, in yet another twist on the daily deal site, we have 3 week old NYC-based startup Stampede.It. Their group buying site is for digital goods and services like mobile apps, social games, ebooks, and web apps.
So they not only have a narrow niche of what they offer for sale, but they have a really cool buying model built in – the more people buy, the lower the price. The tiers are shown right on the site alongside the deal. Right now they are selling a new ebook from New York Times bestseller Lou Aronica called Blue. 10 buyers get it at a 33% discount, 50 buyers get a 50% discount, and 100 buyers get a 66% discount.
Stampede. It recently won first place at the Syracuse Student Sandbox Demo Day. You can watch their video pitch here. So far, customers include app companies (all platforms), web apps & services, social games, social networks, and software. If you’re a developer, would you consider selling your product on their site? Let us know in the comment section below!
