Wikipedia Turns 10 Years Old: The State of Wikipedia

Wikipedia turns ten years old in the month of January. To celebrate the occasion, DC-based creative agency JESS3 created the “The State of Wikipedia” video with Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales. According to a recent release, Jesse Thomas the founder and executive creative director of JESS3 had this to say about the creation of the Wikipedia video:
“To be able to educate people about how and why Wikipedia works was the challenge. But the payoff was that we were given the opportunity to elevate and celebrate the Wikipedia brand through visual storytelling.”
The video gives a brief history of Wikipedia and explains how the user generated encyclopedia site works. They also created a beautiful infographic (shown above).
