We have covered, sliced, diced and analyzed the startup accelerators for awhile now and even produced the first startup accelerator rankings this past year. Yesterday, TechStars, a Boulder-based startup accelerator program, took a step to help simplify the process by offering a unified application form for startup accelerators at accelerato.rs.
The website gives startup founders an opportunity to create one application and apply to a number of startup accelerators. This helps save entrepreneurs precious time and helps startups accelerators have a single format for startup applications. This will help produce an easier flow and offers startup founders a single place to go to see all the various deadlines. It also will let startups track their acceptance status for each of the programs that they apply to.
Currently, there are 14 accelerator applications offered through the site, with some of the more prominent accelerators like Y Combinator and Excelerate Labs not using the service. The project was funded by the Kauffman Foundation who will be able to leverage the product’s startup data for other initiatives.
