TelemetryWeb’s AgSphere: Connecting the Farm to the Cloud

A few weeks ago, I wrote about Farmeron, an app that helps farmers manage their businesses. There’s a lot of potential for technology to enhance processes in the agriculture industry, and we featured another startup in this space at our Tech Cocktail Mixer in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
TelemetryWeb is a cloud-based software platform for building applications around connected sensor devices. Their AgSphere brand helps manufacturers of agriculture technology build solutions that harvest data from the farm.
Existing technology products in the agricultural space, such as control systems for feeding, ventilation, and grain handling, are neither connected nor integrated. Manufacturers of these products don’t always have the expertise and resources required to build the large-scale cloud platforms necessary to address this problem. With AgSphere, agricultural technology manufacturers can build web-connected solutions that increase margins, reduce risk, and improve efficiencies for farmers.
TelemetryWeb is participating in the inaugural Project Skyway class, Minnesota’s first seed-stage tech startup accelerator program. To learn about the program and upcoming demonstrations, visit www.projectskyway.com.
