Trade Shifts with Coworkers Using SkedFlex from eTripTrader

Industries that rely on employees who work shifts, including healthcare, manufacturing, call centers, retail, transportation, and hospitality, lose a lot of money to sick time, absenteeism, and turnover. A new product from eTripTrader called SkedFlex can change that.

The idea behind SkedFlex is simple: allow employees to trade shifts with coworkers in order to better manage their own work/life schedule conflicts.  As an automated, highly customizable, rule-based shift trading solution, SkedFlex delivers major financial benefits to organizations and quality of life benefits to their employees.

Founded by the father-and-son team of Tom LaJoie and Chris LaJoie in 2002, eTripTrader’s initial product, Crew Companion, provides automated trip-trading capabilities for airline pilots and flight attendants; SkedFlex extends their shift-trading software expertise to shift workers in all industries.  Tom is a former US Air Force and United Airlines pilot, while Chris is the lead developer with a breadth and depth of programming, networking, and design talent unmatched in the industry.

The savings companies can attain using eTripTrader software are potentially huge.  United Airlines own internal study of over 2,000 pilots using Crew Companion showed they called in sick 10% less than average – a multi-million dollar savings for United.

eTripTrader is one of our showcased startups at Tech Cocktail Boise on Wednesday, so stop by to meet the team and learn more about SkedFlex.
