Use Central.ly to Easily Create a Web Presence for Your Small Business

May 26, 2011

Anyone who has ever launched a website for their new business can tell you how expensive, time-consuming, and, for the non-technical, confusing the process is. For small businesses, even moreso. Enter Central.ly, a small business’s front door on the web. They make it easy to create a web presence, connect to online profiles, and seamlessly integrate the services that will benefit them.

Central.ly was specifically created for those of us who are not technically savvy. They provide recommendations for domain registrars, host servers, and where to find a good web designer and web developer, and they also help you make it easy to connect to all of your social networks in one place and access built-in analytics to view visitor data.

Central.ly is basically About.me for businesses. We’ve covered About.me a number of times and About.me founder Tony Conrad joined us at the Startup Mixology Conference last fall in Chicago right before About.me was acquired by Aol. About.me’s success definitely validates the marketplace for other startups like Central.ly and Flavors.me.

Chris, Arrel, and Ed are the self-described 3 dudes who founded Central.ly. Chris is a non-technical CEO and a Wharton grad working on his second startup. Arrel is a front end developer and is working on his second startup as well. Ed is the CTO and is on his first startup. They have a great blog full of useful information for small business owners who want to get found online, so check it out.

If you’re headed to Tech Cocktail San Francisco tonight, make sure to stop by and meet the Central.ly team, as they are one of our showcased startups.
